When Is a Mathematical "Connection" a Theorem? A Worked Case Study Using a Simple Sequential Urn Process
Proposes a criterion to distinguish genuine mathematical connections from verbal analogies; illustrated by a sequential urn process and a critical evaluation of more than a dozen proposed connections.
