Absent without being noticed – when a protected language is missing from our feeds

Ladin enjoys strong institutional and legal protection in South Tyrol, but how visible is it in the digital spaces where people increasingly spend their everyday lives? An initiative mapping Catalan content creators offers one way of thinking about the difference between protecting a minority language and making it present. Digital visibility alone cannot secure a language’s future, but its absence may tell us something about where support is still needed.
