Developed within Integrative System-Theoretical Realism (ISTR), the working paper formalizes the Principle of Transformative Continuity (PTC) and its operational methodology, Transformative Continuity Methodology (TCM). The central object of TCM is historically intelligible persistence-through-transformation. The method distinguishes genealogy from typology, continuity-bearing structures from their carriers, and historical transmission from structural resemblance. It introduces a graded evidentiary architecture, explicit criteria for competing explanations and falsifiability, and a practical research procedure for reconstructing inheritance, recontextualization, recombination, transformation, and innovation across historical formations.
