Interagency Collaboration Linkages and Relationships among Illinois Disability Service Providers

Background Research supports interagency collaboration as a predictor of post-secondary success and best practice for people with disabilities transitioning out of high school. Objective As part of a grant evaluation project, baseline data were collected on the linkages and relationships between Illinois disability service providers. Method Two analyses were conducted: one focused on linkages between Illinois disability service providers and another on relationships between them. Results The results of the evaluation study indicate that Illinois disability service providers have relatively low levels of linkages with one another and low relationships between each other. The results provide baseline information about the collaboration between Illinois disability service providers and are discussed in relation to their implications for both practice and future research.
