Awareness, Knowledge, and Acceptance of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccination Among University Students in Pakistan

This record contains an abstract reporting a cross-sectional survey study assessing awareness, knowledge, and acceptance of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination among university students in Pakistan. The study examines students’ awareness of HPV infection and its association with cervical cancer, knowledge of HPV vaccination, willingness to receive the vaccine, and perceived barriers to vaccination. Data were collected from approximately 300 undergraduate university students from diverse academic disciplines using a structured questionnaire. The study focuses on identifying gaps in HPV-related knowledge and understanding factors that may influence HPV vaccine acceptance, including accessibility, cost, health education, and cultural or social barriers. The findings are intended to contribute to the understanding of HPV vaccination awareness among university students in Pakistan and highlight the potential importance of university-based health education and awareness initiatives for improving vaccine acceptance and supporting cervical cancer prevention.
