Auditory cognition 31 (pathways, detectors and projections)
The auditory board is located in Wernicke's area (left posterior temporal lobe). Listening to speech activates the superior temporal lobe bilaterally and largely symmetrically. We present a special aspect for auditory pathways and suggest the presence of auditory corridors and its role in auditory concentration. We have different projections for peripheral sounds and direct sounds where the inferior colliculus plays an important role. In visual system the lateral attention can use just four types of visual memory, but in auditory system the lateral attention can use all types of auditory memory. We suggest 12 types of auditory detectors and nine types of auditory memory.
