MAV-MCC — Centaurus A Held-Out Confirmatory Freeze v1.1-R1
This record constitutes the formal pre-analysis freeze for the held-out Centaurus A confirmatory test of the MAV-MCC M87 Coupling Corridor framework. The protocol was finalized after exploratory development on M87 and sacrificial calibration on 3C 264 / NGC 3862, and before quantitative extraction or combined evaluation of the Centaurus A test results. The frozen confirmatory Judge is based on four CORE axes: D — local dynamics / shock interactionC — local magnetic-field / polarization / coherence responseR — local radiative responseS — spatial specificity / control The frozen CORE criterion is: CORE_PASS iff at least 3 of the 4 CORE axes D, C, R, S receive PASS, with S required to receive PASS. Evidence used for the CORE verdict must be local or spatially associated with the selected coupling node. Unresolved source-wide flares cannot substitute for local coupling evidence. A fifth axis, G, evaluates external gas / matter response where an eligible target exists. For Centaurus A, the Outer Filament is identified before result extraction as an eligible G target. G must therefore be evaluated and reported, but it is not a blocking condition for the CORE confirmatory verdict. G may receive PASS, OPEN, or FAIL. OPEN is explicitly allowed when the available observational time span is insufficient relative to the relevant astrophysical timescale. Temporal causality of the matter response is recorded separately as T_G and has zero weight in the CORE PASS/FAIL decision. Accordingly, the frozen result classes include: CONFIRMATORY_PASS — CORE criterion satisfied.CONFIRMATORY_PASS_PLUS_G — CORE PASS with G PASS.CONFIRMATORY_PASS_G_OPEN — CORE PASS with G OPEN.CONFIRMATORY_PASS_G_FAIL — CORE PASS but failure of the matter-response extension.CONFIRMATORY_FAIL — CORE criterion not satisfied. Maser emission is treated exclusively as an optional diagnostic bonus. Its presence may provide supplementary information, while its absence has zero PASS/FAIL weight. No post-result modification of target selection, CORE axes, scoring rules, spatial-specificity requirements, missing-data treatment, temporal-causality rules, or maser weighting is permitted. This record therefore establishes the immutable held-out protocol to be applied to Centaurus A and preserves the methodological lineage: M87 — discovery/development dataset3C 264 — sacrificial calibration datasetCentaurus A — held-out confirmatory dataset The deposited package includes the canonical PDF freeze, machine-readable protocol metadata, lineage information, and SHA-256 integrity checks.
