The Yunus Centre as a Global Hub for Social Business: Operationalising Ethical Stakeholder Engagement and Creating Sustainable Value

This study examines how the Yunus Centre (YC) ecosystem operationalises social business principles through stakeholder-centred hybrid governance. Drawing on institutional logics and hybridity perspectives, the study integrates Corporate Social Responsibility, Social Enterprise, Social Entrepreneurship Theory, Stakeholder Theory, the Social Business Model, and the Triple Bottom Line. A qualitative multi-case study analyses four interconnected cases across Taiwan, Germany, and Bangladesh, based on 40 semi-structured interviews, institutional documents, and field observations. Findings show that the YC ecosystem functions as an interconnected hybrid governance system in which complementary governance logics enable shared purpose, contextual adaptability, stakeholder coordination, and sustainable multidimensional value creation.
