Beyond Brain Drain: Student Mobility, Transnational Education and Human Capital Retention in the Global South
International student mobility can create major benefits for individuals and destination countries, but it can also intensify human-capital pressures in countries of origin. This article examines how transnational education can widen access to international qualifications while reducing the need to relocate at the point of study. It argues for a broader model of education mobility focused on knowledge circulation, local capacity and graduate opportunity.
