Dengue-Related Knowledge, Attitudes, and Preventive Practices Among Adults in Rural Chattogram, Bangladesh: A Community-Based Cross-Sectional Study During the 2023 Dengue Epidemic

Background & Objectives: Dengue fever remains a major public health concern in Bangladesh. This study evaluates community knowledge, attitudes, and preventive practices (KAP) regarding dengue vector control and disease management. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted among residents in the Chattogram region to assess demographic variables, awareness levels, primary vector control measures, and personal protection behaviors. Results & Conclusion: Findings highlight key gaps in community practice and provide actionable baseline evidence to inform targeted vector control strategies, local public health awareness campaigns, and municipal policy interventions.
