Abstract

This work is a comprehensive roadmap for the development and validation of a PCR panel for assessing the molecular profile of aging in women, which has yet to be implemented. The panel will cover 25 mechanisms of aging and 56 genes and will be deployed in six stages, from design formation to regulatory approval and clinical implementation. The key difference between the women's panel and the men's panel will be determined by the presence of four new female mechanisms that reflect the fundamental biological features of the female body: erosion of X chromosome inactivation, hormonal transition and estrogen-dependent pathways, aging of the ovaries and reproductive system, as well as the female microbiome. These mechanisms will not just be "added" to the general ones, but will rearrange their interaction, since the menopausal transition is a powerful transcriptomic trigger. For eleven mechanisms, it is planned to use three genes each to ensure the accuracy of determination. A comparative analysis of the transcriptomic and epigenetic approaches is to be carried out, which should show the fundamental advantages of gene expression analysis for subsequent comparison and personalized management of aging processes.
