NAMI's Daniel Gillison honored by NonProfit Times

Daniel H. Gillison, Jr., CEO of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), has been named to The NonProfit Times' 2026 Power & Influence Top 50 list. The publication cited Gillison's efforts to modernize NAMI, build cross‐sector partnerships and secure major investments, including a $59 million gift from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott, a news release stated. It also highlighted his launch of the National Collaborative for Crisis Systems Innovation, which supports alignment and innovation in behavioral health crisis care and the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Gillison is among 51 trailblazing honorees, joining leaders of such nonprofits like the AARP Foundation, National Council on Aging, American Humane Society, NAACP, American Heart Association and Habitat for Humanity International. Gillison will be honored Sept. 17 at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. He previously received the recognition in 2022.
