What Is Personality? 2.0 /
Short Abstract This preprint proposes a conceptual model of personality formation in which embodied stimulus experience plays a structurally dominant role over knowledge-based experience. It argues that bodily responses such as pain, pleasure, fear, hunger, safety, and satisfaction generate value gradients that assign importance to experience; knowledge-based experience then organizes those value-weighted experiences into meaning; and temporal integration stabilizes them into a self-model. Extending the earlier Personality Structure Theory (Version 1.0), the paper presents personality as a dynamic information architecture formed through the interaction of embodiment, cognition, emotion, and social experience. The framework is theoretical and requires empirical examination, particularly in neuroscience and cognitive science.
