Depositional sequences and cyclic changes in molluscan assemblages of the Lower Pleistocene Omma Formation

この野外巡検では，石川県金沢市に分布する下部更新統大桑（おんま）層の模式露頭において，約4.1万年周期の地軸傾斜変動に伴う氷河性海水準変動に起因して形成された堆積シーケンスと，それに対応する貝化石群集の周期的変化を観察する．これらの観察を通じて得られる，気候温暖化期および海水準上昇期における堆積環境と底生動物群集の変遷に関する知見は，日本周辺の沿岸域における将来の環境と生態系の変動を予測する上で，重要な示唆を与える．
