In Case You Haven't Heard…
The U.S. Postal Service is issuing a fentanyl awareness stamp next month. The Postal Service will use sales of the stamp to raise funds to fight the illicit fentanyl epidemic while providing a message of hope, healing and recovery. The stamp was designed by Antonio Alcala, an art director for the Postal Service, based on an illustration by Whitney Sherman. Attending the day‐of‐issue ceremony on October 6 in Washington, D.C., will be the USPS Government Relations Director Peter Pastre, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Jay Bhattacharya and the National Institute on Drug Abuse Director Nora Volkow, M.D. Want to go? Attendees must RSVP at usps.com/fentanylsemipostalstamp to enter the NIH campus. Additional information on the ceremony, how to enter the NIH campus, the directions and ID requirements are available through the link.
