Beyond Traditional Sales Training: An AI Driven Experiential Learning Framework

Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming marketing practice, yet its role in sales education remains conceptually underdeveloped. Although universities are increasingly experimenting with AI tools in classrooms, there is limited scholarly guidance on how these technologies can be integrated into sales pedagogy in ways that enhance learning rather than merely automate tasks. Addressing this gap, this study synthesizes insights from sales education, experiential learning theory, marketing analytics, and emerging research on artificial intelligence in education to examine how AI can support practice-oriented learning in sales training. Drawing on a structured review of interdisciplinary literature, the paper develops a conceptual foundation for understanding the pedagogical implications of AI enabled learning environments and proposes a framework that explains how artificial intelligence can be systematically embedded within sales education. The analysis highlights key challenges associated with technology integration and identifies pathways through which AI can strengthen analytical capability, experiential learning, and ethical awareness in contemporary sales training.
