Feed efficiency in pigs

Understanding the neuroendocrine and peripheral mechanisms regulating feed efficiency is crucial for optimizing sustainable swine production. Here, we established a comprehensive cellular and molecular atlas of the porcine gut brain axis by performing single nucleus RNA sequencing on five critical brain regions, the HPA axis, and the ileum, integrated with luminal metagenomic and untargeted metabolomic profiling from extreme high FE and low FE pigs.
