OurMED D7.3 Integrative and Multi-Scale Toolbox to Identify Water-Related Ecosystems as NbS. Version 1.2

Deliverable D7.3 documents the Integrative and multi-scale Toolbox for identifying and prioritising Mediterranean water-related ecosystems as tailored Nature-based Solutions. The present report is the documentation of an operational artefact rather than a stand-alone methodological review. The Toolbox is a structured, modular procedure that takes a territory, as a whole and returns, in a traceable sequence: (i) an inventory of the water-related ecosystems it contains, (ii) their biophysical characterisation, (iii) an assessment of their condition, functions, services and the pressures acting on them, (iv) a set of Nature-based Solution opportunities that specific ecosystems could support, and (v) a prioritisation of those opportunities together with an explicit register of trade-offs, constraints and residual uncertainty.
