Draft and complete genome sequences of environmental Bacillus isolates and relatives collected from a range of soil and compost samples

We report draft and complete genome sequences for 38 environmental isolates collected from soil samples provided by members of the local community and from a temperature-stratified compost heap. Most isolates belong to Bacillus, including Bacillus subtilis, with additional taxa such as Priestia megaterium and Lysinibacillus capsici.

Abstract

We report draft and complete genome sequences for 38 environmental isolates collected from soil samples provided by members of the local community and from a temperature-stratified compost heap. Most isolates belong to Bacillus, including Bacillus subtilis, with additional taxa such as Priestia megaterium and Lysinibacillus capsici.
