Exploring the structure and luminescence properties of Dy3 + ions doped oxyantimony lead borobarium glasses for photonic devices

In order to study their structural and luminous characteristics for potential use in wLED applications, a series of PbSbBa glasses doped with Dy 3+ ions and prepared using the traditional melt-quenching process have been developed. The results of the XRD demonstrated the non-crystalline properties of the labelled glasses. The existence of borate units was established using Raman and FTIR investigations. In order to better understand the optical behaviour of the fabricated glasses, the Judd-Ofelt parameters were calculated by analysing absorption spectra. The observed pattern in the glasses that have been made is Ω 2 followed by Ω 4 and then Ω 6 . The PbSbBaDy glasses have been seen to emit light in the red (664 nm), yellow (575 nm), and bright blue (482 nm) wavelengths. According to the CIE 1931 color chromaticity (x,y) coordinates, the PbSbBaDy0.5 glass material appears to be a white light zone. Outcomes from the determination of the spectroscopic characteristics of fabricated materials are may useful for wLED applications.
