SUBCONSCIOUS PROCESSES IN BODY–MIND COMMUNICATION AND DECISION MAKING
The mind–body connection has long been a central topic in psychology, neuroscience, and philosophy. Moving beyond traditional dualistic frameworks, this study conceptualizes the subconscious as a mediating system that facilitates continuous interaction between physical processes and mental states. Subconscious communication is defined as an automatic, non-conscious flow of information that encompasses bodily signals, emotional responses, and cognitive activity. By integrating classical psychological theories, contemporary neuroscientific findings, and data collected from university students, this study examines how subconscious processes translate physical sensations into subjective mental experiences. Employing a mixed methods design that combines scaled survey responses with qualitative open-ended answers, the research highlights the role of intuition, emotional regulation, and BAS in everyday decision-making and overall well-being. The findings indicate that participants generally perceive the subconscious to play a meaningful role in linking physical sensations with emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. By framing the subconscious as an integrative system shaped by biological and socio-cultural influences, this study contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of human cognition and underscores the significance of subconscious processes in mental health, personal development, and interdisciplinary research
