An Open, Versioned Database of Deep Eutectic Solvent Thermophysical Properties

Abstract Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) are tunable solvents that have applications in separations, electrochemistry, biomass processing, and materials science. The thermophysical property data of DESs are, however, distributed throughout the literature and usually reported in inconsistent composition conventions, units, and metadata. To address this fragmentation, we introduce an open, versioned database of DES thermophysical properties. Peer-reviewed sources were analyzed to present the data in machine-readable CSV format with detailed documentation. The database is made traceable and reusable. It captures the identities of the components, molar ratios, property measurement conditions, property names and units, uncertainty if available, and source citations. The database is stored in Zenodo under the permissive license. This manuscript describes the data model, curation workflow, quality control checks, and contribution practice for reproducible property analysis and benchmarking within the DES community.
