Cascaded Dual‐Load Wireless Power Transfer Technology With Power and Frequency Independent Characteristics

ABSTRACT The deep‐sea environment is complex, necessitating the development of cluster systems to meet diverse tasks. Due to variations in power levels, a single wireless power transfer (WPT) system struggles to meet the energy requirements of multiple devices. Designing separate WPT systems for each device would significantly increase the entire complexity. Therefore, in this letter, a cascaded dual‐load WPT system is proposed to address this challenge. The topology comprises a primary resonant network for high‐power transmission and a secondary resonant network. The latter harvests energy from the third‐harmonic current to deliver a stable output voltage for low‐power loads. The cascaded structure enhances the system's power density. Furthermore, as impedance isolation between the two loads is achieved through a dedicated mechanism, independent frequency and output power adjustment of the two resonant networks is allowed, thus enhancing design flexibility.
