Molecular Microbiology, Genetics, Genomics, PCR, Sequencing, and Bioinformatics Exercises in Plant and Fungal Systems
Abstract: This selective document is a curated laboratory record. In this record, material was retained from the final laboratory report of the course entitled “Molecular Biology for Applied Plant Science (PPWS 5714)”. The practical work on Acetolactate Synthase (ALS) characterization in Amaranthus, Fungal Isolation and TEF1-Alpha PCR work in Fusarium, Sequence handling activities, RNA-seq analysis, and genotyping-by-sequencing (GBS) interpretation are retained here. Those works were performed in the respective course labs and were essential to the author's preparation for the independent project and the author’s own research. There is a clear objective of this publication, which is to preserve the record of laboratory training, work procedure, methodology, calculations, observations, selected results (Sequence and PCR), and computational analyses. This record may be cited as evidence of prior methodological experience and research progression. Note: This work should neither be interpreted as a peer-reviewed article nor as independent validation of later Pleurotus species/PobZip3 findings.
