Subluminally Transported Wormhole Infrastructure Networks (STWIN): A Conceptual Framework for Persistent Interstellar Communication and Transport

STWIN (Subluminally Transported Wormhole Infrastructure Network) is a conceptual framework for interstellar communication and transport based on the hypothetical deployment of stable, traversable wormhole endpoints by subluminal spacecraft. Rather than proposing faster-than-light propulsion, the framework treats wormhole connectivity as deployable infrastructure: an initial mission incurs the full causal cost of conventional interstellar travel, while subsequent communication or transport may exploit a persistent low-latency spacetime connection. The paper develops the concepts of causal installation cost, distance amortization, chronology-safe deployment, multi-node network topology, recursive expansion, information capacity, and failure resilience, while distinguishing established relativistic and quantum results from speculative assumptions. The framework is intended as a conditional systems architecture and research agenda, not as a claim that macroscopic traversable wormholes are currently physically realizable.
