Proper Time and Ontological Time: Density of Becoming and the Field of Possibilities in Probabilistic Presentism

This preprint distinguishes coordinate time, relativistic proper time, and ontological time understood as a cumulative measure of locally consolidated becoming. Formal proposal. It introduces the local consolidation density Θ = dτont/dτ and relates it, as a working hypothesis, to the field of possibilities π through Θ = f(π). Coordinate time t remains descriptive, proper time τ remains the duration measured by clocks, and ontological time τont denotes accumulated becoming. Safeguards and limits. The proposal does not replace relativistic proper time, treat Θ as a metric factor, introduce a global simultaneity, derive the limiting speed c from the actualization rate, or claim a complete covariant dynamics. The relation Θ = f(π) remains a hypothesis whose separate empirical identifiability is not yet established. Status. This is a conceptual and exploratory preprint. Interpretive claims are identified as such, and the framework is not presented as an experimentally validated replacement for relativity or quantum mechanics. Translation fidelity.
