Metagenomic analysis of urban water environment system microbial communities

This study employs metagenomic sequencing to investigate the microbial community structure, functional potential, and biogeochemical cycling processes in an urban water environment system comprising island soil, rain garden water, and pond sediment. Three sampling sites were analyzed to reveal distinct ecological niches, pollutant removal mechanisms, antibiotic resistance genes, and pathogen distribution, providing scientific insights for urban water ecological management and risk prevention.
