Order Window Dynamics (OWD) 3.0

Order-Window Dynamics (OWD) III Order-Window Dynamics (OWD) III is a cross-domain systems framework for analysing when a defined system state can form, persist, transition, or fail. OWD is carrier-subordinate. This means that the established model of the respective domain remains authoritative. OWD does not replace physics, chemistry, biology, network dynamics, constitutive laws, kinetics, thermodynamics, or validated simulation methods. Instead, it translates their outputs into a common systems-level structure. Version 3.0 is intended for applications across physics, chemistry, biology, and artificial dynamical networks. The variables, mechanisms, equations, and units may differ completely between domains. What remains invariant is the logical role of the OWD constructs: admissibility, functional support and demand, bounded operating conditions, directed coupling, accessibility, state compatibility, characteristic times, uncertainty, and failure margins. A central principle of OWD III is that viable operation is usually not defined by maximizing a single quantity. A system remains viable only while all necessary conditions stay within their declared operating windows. The framework therefore focuses on identifying the currently limiting function and the first transition out of the viable region. OWD III is deliberately falsifiable and conservative. Definitions, thresholds, observation windows, and predictors must be fixed before evaluation. The framework must be compared with the strongest appropriate carrier-consistent baseline. If a simpler method provides the same result with fewer assumptions, OWD should not claim additional value. The OWD III package contains the foundational specification, applied benchmark studies, and a reference runtime for implementing the framework on carrier-generated data.
