The Evolution of Identity - Differentiation, Integration, and Structural Reach under Real Transformation

Evolutionary comparison is usually organized around capacities: sensory discrimination, memory, planning, social cognition, numerical competence, language, tool use, or culture. This paper asks a prior structural question. What changes when evolution changes the real differences that can become structurally admissible, the determinations those differences can induce, and the determination carried by real relations among them? The answer is not abstracted from those biological or cognitive literatures. It is derived first from determinate identity under real transformation. For a fixed identity architecture J_S=(F_S,M_S,K_S), the paper derives the type of admissible realization structure A_S^real=(Omega_S,T_S,Theta_hat_S) by restricting realized domain configurations and transformations to those admissible under the fixed identity specification; this does not claim that F/M/K predicts domain dynamics. Theta_hat_S is explicitly typed over configurations, individual admissible transformations, and real relations among transformations. From this realization structure follow three structurally non-equivalent projections. D_S is the structured domain of admissible real differences induced by T_S, including their real internal relations. R_S assigns the complete unary determination profile of each admissible difference as a structural unit. I_S assigns the relation-dependent determination carried by real internal relations among admitted differences, relative to a comparison class fixed in advance. D/R/I are not postulated as algebraically independent primitive degrees of freedom; separation witnesses show that each projection can vary while the other two remain fixed. Cross-system comparison is correspondingly upgraded from an element mapping to a structure-preserving partial morphism. The paper derives categorical exhaustivity for this difference-relative projection as a corollary of the typed architecture and then re-audits all eight empirical cases against the stricter V7 definitions. Biological evolution supplies the historical mechanisms by which concrete realizations change; empirical literature remains downstream of the derivation. CORE THESIS. Evolutionary novelty is not merely the acquisition of new responses. It is the expansion, contraction, and reconfiguration of the kinds of real difference that can enter, propagate through, and become integrated within an identity architecture.
