iPROLEPSIS_PsA inflammation drivers research
Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a chronic inflammatory disease associated with psoriasis, and involves interactions of genetic, immunologic, and environmental factors. Patients with PsA can differ in their disease manifestation and treatment response. PsA prognosis also impacts the patient quality of life. Besides, patients with PsA can experience periods of increased disease activity, known as flares, which can negatively impact their quality of life. Currently, literature on the triggers of these flares is very limited. Deliverable D3.1 is the initial report of Task T3.1 that aims to identify key drivers of inflammation in PsA. This objective is achieved through the analysis of retrospective datasets to which the consortium has access, as well as datasets collected during a prospective study, namely PDPID. This deliverable presents the outcomes of the exploratory analysis of two retrospective datasets, i.e., DEPAR and Reuma.pt, and a subset of the PDPID prospective data.
