Advancing AI Literacy and Self-Efficacy Among Higher Education & Student Affairs Professionals

Higher Education and Student Affairs (HESA) professionals seek guidance on how to ethically use Artificial Intelligence (AI) in their work. To address this gap, we designed and conducted professional development workshops to foster AI literacy and self-efficacy among practitioners from across the U.S. Using pre- and posttest surveys, we found that participants reported significant gains in AI literacy and self-efficacy. We offer design recommendations to support HESA professionals in becoming more critical consumers of AI.
