An artistic and psychoanalytic journey along the Rio Negro: An experience of revitalization

Abstract In this essay, we investigate, from the point of view of mental health, the importance of a type of experience, within the scope of Art Based Research and ArtScience, associated with an affective revival (of psychoanalytic inspiration) of primordial human contact with nature, interposed by the practice of botanical illustration, during a journey along the Rio Negro, Amazonas. We prioritize presenting the results in a literary and poetic style with texts, watercolors, drawings, and photographs produced throughout the process.
