Physics and Semantics: Space, Microvita, Conscious Experience
This article develops the philosophical implications of the Ω-cycle for the relation between physical organization, semantic meaning, and conscious experience. Successive coarse-graining generates nested spatial levels while preserving their lower-level constitution. Each level comprises one real and three imaginary regimes, distinguished by their relational geometries. Their progressively generated lattices provide a metric without presupposing a spatial container. Within this architecture, the real regimes represent the physical field, while the imaginary regimes provide distinct spatial forms for semantic organization. Matrix operators previously defined as microvita mediate transformations of contents within each level and may be modulated by configurations at other levels; their role remains distinct from scale generation through Ω₄. Physical and semantic organization can thus remain distinct while interacting within a common relational order, making an additional metaphysical intermediary unnecessary. The framework gives spatial and operational form to an earlier account of phenomenal experience as the culmination of a progression from pre-subjective openness through pre-phenomenal subjectivability to centered experience. It attributes to reality a disposition toward conscious being without assuming that everything is already conscious.
