The Person-Centred Counsellor as an Agent of Human Rights

This client’s words sum up the crux of my understanding of both human rights and person-centred counselling. In this article I consider the relationship between the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (hereafter referred to as UDHR: see United Nations 1948) and the person- centred approach, the core conditions of the person-centred approach as sufficient response to the UDHR, and the human rights of the counsellor.
