Person-centered Sandtray Therapy
As psychotherapy becomes more and more symptom-centered instead of person-centered it is becoming increasingly vital for humanists to speak to the emotional, relational and existential needs of individuals caught up in our psychologically disorienting times. The theories and practices of humanistic psychotherapy strive to work with the average person in search of a more meaningful life and enhanced relationship satisfaction. Serving more than a basic symptom-control function, humanistic psychology is devoted to self-actualization by developing higher levels of awareness and enhanced quality of life.
