A BIBLIOMETRIC OVERVIEW OF MAURO BOIANOVSKY’S LEGACY

This paper offers a bibliometric overview of the scholarly legacy of Mauro Boianovsky. Drawing on data from Scopus and cross-referenced with his Currículo Lattes , we analyze a corpus of 100 works published between 1987 and 2024 and identify patterns in his publication outlets, thematic evolution, and intellectual networks. The results highlight his strong engagement with leading history of economics journals and reveal two core clusters structuring his scholarship: the history of macroeconomics cluster (with special emphasis on Knut Wicksell) and the history of development economics cluster (with contributions on Evsey Domar, Celso Furtado, and Latin American structuralism). The analysis also uncovers the integrative role of growth economics in bridging these agendas. Citation data confirm the enduring influence of Boianovsky’s work on secular stagnation, liquidity trap, development theory, and structuralism. Beyond reaffirming well-known aspects of his research, this study provides a quantitative mapping that situates his oeuvre within broader intellectual trajectories.
