Pulse-Controlled Topologically Protected Quantum Batteries
Abstract Remote charging in the field of quantum batteries is particularly appealing because it minimizes interference between the charger and the battery, making it a subject of considerable interest. Here, we propose a robust remote charging protocol for quantum batteries based on a pulse-controlled superconducting qubit chain. By dynamically modulating the pulse-mediated couplings, we realize chiral-symmetry-protected energy transfer from the charger to the battery. We show that the charging process suppresses energy backflow due to the pulse control, and remains robust against pulse imperfections due to the chiral symmetry of the system. Moreover, the energy stored in the battery at the target time is almost fully extractable, and the protocol remains effective over a moderate range of chain lengths. To further accelerate charging, we optimize the pulse shape and elucidate the underlying physical mechanism. Our pulse-controlled topological quantum battery protocol provides a versatile framework for implementing remote topological charging and establishes a theoretical foundation for designing optimal-control strategies to enhance quantum battery performance.
