Data space Layer for Wastewater digital Twins
Wastewater treatment plants generate large volumes of operational data that are often siloed, making it challenging to share them while preserving data sovereignty and enabling cross-domain collaboration. Developed within the scope of the European project TRINEFLEX, this work implements a dataspace layer using Eclipse Dataspace Components (EDC) to enable secure, sovereign, and interoperable data exchange. Operational data are exposed as sovereign assets to support predictive modelling, monitoring dashboards, and digital twin applications. The pilot demonstrates policy-compliant data sharing and provides a scalable framework for optimised Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP) operations.
