Curled Spacetime Geometry: A Hypothesis for Cosmic Shortcuts
This work presents a speculative hypothesis concerning the possible global geometry and topology of spacetime. It explores whether a globally curled or non-trivial spacetime structure could create effective geodesic shortcuts between regions that appear widely separated under conventional cosmological coordinates. The concept also considers whether higher-dimensional spacetime could provide a possible framework for such shortcuts and whether they might have similarities to wormhole-like connections. This is a conceptual research proposal, not a claim that a spiral-shaped Universe, wormholes, or extra dimensions have been experimentally confirmed. The purpose is to present the hypothesis as a starting point for further mathematical and theoretical investigation, including studies of spacetime metrics, geodesics, cosmic topology, higher-dimensional gravity, and possible observational signatures. The work invites further evaluation to determine whether a mathematically consistent and observationally testable model can be developed.
