vrScript: A Domain-Specific Language for Specifying Protocols in HVS 6D VR Fully Immersive Virtual Reality
Technical reference for vrScript, the domain-specific language used to specify research, rehabilitation and therapeutic protocols implemented using the HVS 6D VR fully immersive virtual reality system. The document describes the design, syntax and execution model of vrScript; configuration of virtual environments, navigation, interaction, timing, sensory material, behavioural and physiological data collection, and real-time responses to participant behaviour or physiological state; integration with HVS 6D VR; representative research, rehabilitation and therapeutic applications; and considerations for reproducibility and reporting. It also includes worked vrScript examples and a command reference.
