Human as Text: A Deconstructive Approach to Human Capital Management
The article reveals the conceptualization of the 'human as text' phenomenon within modern Human Capital Management (HCM) through the philosophical and semiotic method of deconstruction. The limitations of traditional technocratic and resource-centric HR management models, which perceive an employee as a static binary unit of job duties and KPIs, are explored. The methodological feasibility of treating an employee's professional identity, competencies, and personal experience as a complex, multi-layered, and dynamic discursive text is substantiated. The main deconstructive techniques for analyzing human capital are systematized: dismantling stereotypical job descriptions, identifying hidden subtexts of ineffective interaction, criticizing binary oppositions (success/failure, leader/follower), and revealing an expert's unmanifested potential. Practical tools for implementing a deconstructive approach in HR practices are identified, including Fluid Career Paths, reflective feedback, and fostering an environment of continuous self-reinterpretation.
