Native Cognition Kernel (NCK) 0.1
Native Cognition Kernel (NCK) 0.1 is a mathematically specified architecture for deterministic, bounded, provenance-aware machine cognition. NCK defines cognition as an explicit system of typed symbolic state, proof-governed inference, hypothesis formation, prediction, falsification, revision, planning, action, and adaptation under changing rules and environments.Rather than defining cognitive behavior through a trained statistical model, NCK specifies its cognitive operations directly as finite mathematical objects, relations, operators, invariants, and certified state transitions. The architecture is designed so that its semantics are independent of any particular software implementation, programming language, execution platform, or hardware realization. This release contains the authoritative NCK 0.1 Normative Mathematical Specification, its typeset publication, and the Executable Logic companion, which develops the formal system through explicit paper-executable examples. The Markdown mathematical specification is the sole normative mathematical authority for NCK 0.1; the accompanying publications are subordinate to that specification. The architecture is intended to support direct implementation and formal verification, including software proof-of-concept implementations and, where developed and separately validated, formal-proof and digital-hardware realizations such as Lean, Verilog, or VHDL representations. The release includes an external SHA-256 manifest identifying the exact immutable artifacts constituting NCK 0.1.
