The Perspective-Dependent Mass (PDM) Hypothesis

This paper introduces the Perspective-Dependent Mass (PDM) Hypothesis, a novel theoretical framework addressing the dark matter direct-detection paradox. Rather than proposing exotic, unobserved particle classes, the PDM model asserts that missing cosmic mass consists of matter whose structural manifestation is strictly observer-dependent. In unobserved, low-interaction regimes (such as galactic halos), the matter exists in a localized, mass-bearing state that exerts invariant gravitational curvature on spacetime. However, localized laboratory observation using standard baryonic instruments forces a relational frame shift, causing the matter to present exclusively as diffuse, weightless wave energy. This perspective-driven state transition explains the null results of terrestrial direct-detection experiments while preserving macro-scale gravitational observations. The framework introduces the Invariant Gravity Equation to mathematically model the preservation of spacetime curvature across binary observer states (\(O \in \{0, 1\}\))
