Emergence of life as a frontier to the metaphysic of the intelligible

We examine the emergence of life through the lens of the Metaphysic of the Intelligible. Life is interpreted as a new interface—a self-referential resolution of the tension between chemical and informational axes. The framework can describe life, diagnose its structure, and reveal its coher- ence, but it cannot predict its emergence from first principles. Life appears to be a contingent emergence—a local resolution that did not have to hap- pen, but did. This marks a genuine frontier of the framework: it can map life, but it cannot generate it.
