Geometry of religions

We apply the 2D Heuristic of the Intelligible to religion, diagnosing its local attractor: given meaning and communal salvation. Religion is a projection of the intelligible — a resolution of tension between tran- scendence and immanence. However, it has become trapped in a local attractor, mistaking the projection for the source. This paper does not dismiss religion — it locates it. The goal is not critique, but illumination: to show that religion is a real and necessary projection, but not the only one.

Abstract

We apply the 2D Heuristic of the Intelligible to religion, diagnosing its local attractor: given meaning and communal salvation. Religion is a projection of the intelligible — a resolution of tension between tran- scendence and immanence. However, it has become trapped in a local attractor, mistaking the projection for the source. This paper does not dismiss religion — it locates it. The goal is not critique, but illumination: to show that religion is a real and necessary projection, but not the only one.
