La migración como profecía. Íconos bíblicos y perspectivas filosófico-teológicas en clave sinodal y escatológica

This chapter focuses on the articulation of the words “migration,” “synodality,” and “prophecy,” three of which are decisive for rethinking social and political coexistence. This piece is based on three philosophical-theological categories: alterity, hospitality, and recognition. At the same time, those are illuminated by three biblical icons: the encounter between Ruth and Naomi; the visit of the three persons to Abraham and Sarah; and the story of the disciples of Emmaus. Drawing on this, the author shows how the concept of love can intersect with these categories and open the eschatological path, in which global migration phenomena are understood as a prophetic key to building the “civilization of love,” as Catholic social teaching states.
