Research Proposal: IoT Driven Inclusive Education: Building Smart E Learning Systems for Equal Learning Opportunities
Samira Akter Tumpa is a researcher working in the field of inclusive digital education, smart e-learning, and technology-supported learning opportunities. Her research proposal is under the co-supervision of Dr. Tanja Conni Strecker and Dr. Guillermo Bautista Pérez from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC), Spain. The proposal focuses on developing an inclusive smart e-learning model to support disadvantaged learners, especially those from rural, low-income, working, or less-supported backgrounds. Many learners face problems such as limited digital access, lack of proper guidance, low confidence, poor learning direction, and fewer opportunities to develop practical skills. This research explores how digital and IoT-supported learning systems can provide timely guidance, useful learning resources, personal encouragement, mentor support, practical skill development, and equal learning opportunities. The main aim of the proposal is to make online education more human, supportive, accessible, and practical, so that learners can improve not only their academic performance but also their confidence, personal growth, future planning, and professional readiness.
