Unleashing Employee Creative Performance Behavior: Direct Influence of Psychological Capital and the Mediating Role of Organizational Support in Service Sector Employees

This study examines the influence of psychological capital (PsyCap) on employee creative performance behavior (CPB) in the service sector, with perceived organizational support (POS) as a mediator.Data from 389 service sector employees were analyzed. The findings revealed that PsyCap significantly and positively influenced CPB, with POS partially mediating this relationship.Self-efficacy and resilience directly predicted CPB, while hope and optimism indirectly affected creativity through POS.The findings point out the importance of cultivating employees' psychological resources and fostering supportive work environments to enhance creativity and innovation in service organizations. The implications extend to both theoretical and practical domains.Theoretically, it expands the understanding of PsyCap's role in fostering creativity, particularly in non-Western, developing economies.Practically, it suggests that organizations can boost employee creativity by investing in PsyCap development programs and creating supportive work environments.
