The Triad of Consciousness: A Unified Hypothesis of Energy-Information-Belief
The nature of consciousness constitutes a core puzzle spanning science and philosophy. Mainstream physicalism and the neuroscience paradigm regard consciousness as a product of the human brain, yet they present notable explanatory blind spots when confronting a wide range of cross-disciplinary phenomena, including near-death experiences, the placebo effect, and the quantum measurement problem. This paper develops the Energy-Information-Belief Triad Unified Hypothesis to offer a supplementary analytical perspective for relevant investigations. Three interlocking core logical postulates are put forward: consciousness is eternal and indestructible energy; any structure may function as its carrier; belief determines its direction. Collectively, these postulates form the rigid "Ontology-Carrier-Dynamics" logical system, which enables unified interpretations of many classical puzzles of consciousness across physics, neuroscience, psychology, and philosophy, while maintaining compatibility with diverse academic and ideological frameworks. Built upon minimalist top-level postulates, this qualitative meta-theoretical framework seeks to furnish underlying deductive logic and multiple exploratory avenues for the unified theoretical study of consciousness.
