THE AADHAR OF THE UNIVERSE — Foundational Research Record
This paper presents a preliminary conceptual proposition concerning the fundamental question of whether existence and location can be understood without an underlying aadhar (supporting basis or encompassing domain). In ordinary observation, objects and systems are understood as existing within progressively larger spatial or structural contexts. This leads to a fundamental question: if the universe contains all observable space, matter and energy, what constitutes the aadhar or encompassing reality of the universe itself? The proposition does not assume a predetermined answer. Instead, it examines whether the concept of an ultimate encompassing domain is logically necessary, impossible, or requires a fundamentally different understanding of space, existence and location. Central question: “If the universe contains everything, what contains the universe?” This work is presented as a preliminary conceptual proposition, not as an established scientific theory. Further investigation would be required to determine whether the proposition can lead to a logically consistent, mathematically expressible and scientifically testable theory.
